DESCRIPTION:Help Improve Black Histories on Wikipedia\n\nWikipedia is one 
 of the most heavily used reference websites in the world. Though it's a 
 well-used resource\, it's not perfect\, gaps in representation persist\, 
 often due to systemic bias. This Black History Month\, we’re hosting 
 Wikipedia editing events to improve coverage of Black histories\, and you 
 can make a difference!\n\nNo experience needed. Whether you have been 
 editing Wikipedia for years or are brand new\, we can help with training\, 
 resources\, and support.\n\nGet Started: Kickoff & Training 
 Session\n\nThursday\, February 12 | 12:40–2:00 PM | Teams\nWe’ll walk 
 you through: why editing matters\, how Wikipedia works\, creating 
 citations\, using the sandbox to get started\, and more. Bring your 
 curiosity and leave with the skills to get you started.\n\nDrop-In Group 
 Editing Sessions\n\nStop by to edit\, ask questions\, and collaborate. You 
 are welcome to come to any of the editing sessions even if you are unable 
 to attend the kickoff on February 13.\n\n\n	\n	Tuesday\, February 17 | 
 12:40–2:00 PM | Teams\n	\n	\n	Wednesday\, February 25 | 3:30–5:00 PM | 
 Teams\n	\n\n\nHow to Prepare\n\n\n	\n	Create a Wikipedia account (don’t 
 worry - we can help you at the kickoff if you need it). Learn why an 
 account matters.\n	\n	\n	Once you have an account\, join the UNH Black 
 History Month Wikipedia Editing Dashboard to track your contributions. The 
 dashboard will stay open through Saturday\, February 28 if you want to edit 
 on your own time.\n	\n\n\nThe 2026 Black History Month theme\, A Century of 
 Black History Commemorations\, might give you inspiration for topics to 
 edit\, but feel free to bring your own ideas\, too! We’ll provide some 
 suggestions as well.\n\nTogether\, let’s help ensure Black histories are 
 visible\, accurate\, and well-documented on Wikipedia!
